Their products are handcrafted and artisan. Aside from all natural repellents such as the Boggart Blaster, Maison Terre also makes essential oils, organic teas, organic spices and herbs, herbal smoking blends, herbal remedies, and aromatherapy candles. Both the Wizarding Apothecary and Maison Terre claim that Boggart Blaster is effective in warding off biting insects.
Maison Terre’s formulation for Boggart Blaster consists of sage oil, distilled water, vinegar, cedarwood oil, clove oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil, and witch hazel. Users find it fun and convenient to use because of its glass sprayer bottle. A glass sprayer bottle may look and feel authentically wizardly, but to me, it is not practical at all, of you carry it with you outside your home. It can break easily, making you prone to getting cut with tiny glass shards, not to mention, upset because your repellent is gone.
The manufacturer and distributor say nothing about the length of effectiveness. For me, this doesn’t cut it, even if it is a product that raises your popularity level in the wizard world of the Harry Potter fandom. Biting insects will bite, whether we like it or not. Boggart Blaster just doesn’t tell us how effective it is and how long it lasts.
